Applications Now Open for the 2025 School Year

We are delighted to announce that the application form for the first semester starting in August 2025 is now open. This marks an important step toward establishing an international school that will enrich Bodø and the region, and the school foundation is seeing strong interest from families both within and outside the municipality.

Bodø International School is more than just a school – it is a place where students from diverse cultures meet, learn, and grow together. With an international perspective and a curriculum designed for a rapidly changing society, the school will be an important addition to our community. It is incredibly exciting that we are now opening the application process, says Head of School Ingvill Berg.

Want to learn more?

On Tuesday, 5 November, Principal Ingvill Berg invites you to an open meeting at SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge’s premises in Bodø, Dronningens gate 7A, from 6 PM to 7 PM.

At the meeting, the Head of School will present our school, introduce what it means to be part of the IB organization, and explain the IB curriculum. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the international school offering.

We want to make Bodø International School known among residents of Bodø and the surrounding area. Many may be wondering what an international school entails and who can attend. This meeting provides an opportunity to learn more, including an introduction to the International Baccalaureate (IB), which the school will be part of. This is the first of several meetings where we aim to invite insight and dialogue, says Head of School Ingvill Berg, who warmly welcomes everyone curious about the school.

Great interest and engagement

Since the launch in April, interest in our school has been high. Many families have already expressed their enthusiasm and wish to learn more about the IB school. Several from outside the city have also contacted us to hear more about our plans and to explore the possibility of relocating to Bodø, the Head of School adds.

Our international school comes at a time when Bodø is experiencing increased internationalization and an influx of families from around the world. Bodø International School will complement existing educational offerings by providing an international curriculum with a strong focus on student engagement.

Critical thinking and problem-solving are emphasized, along with attitudes and perspectives that value and understand different cultures. Students will have the opportunity to develop in an environment that celebrates diversity and fosters curiosity and creativity.
